Is quick money a lie? by Tshidiso Yekela

The idea of being able to make money much faster is no longer a future tense. It is a 'today thing' yes we are in the future it is happening today it is happening right now! Quick money, is finding ways in which you can make money effortlessly and sometimes it takes zero effort to accumulate that money. Some will say it is taking shortcuts to accumulating wealth. When you choose to work smart instead of hard for your money does that give people the right to say you're taking shortcuts? People who work hard might call it a shortcut because they fail to understand your work ethic and other people who work smart will understand what working smart is.

Where/How do we find quick money?

It's not that difficult to find ways in which you can accumulate money. You don't have to go out and search for it you could be in the comfort of your own home; be in your car; be at work; be in a taxi to work or while enjoying lunch at your favourite restaurant.

There's always an ad on your phone popping up, a radio advertisement, the next person talking about how they made X amount from X someone/company, a Whatsapp/Facebook post or ad that's doing the rounds on your timeline and status. That's where you find out how to make quick money or rather it's how quick money finds you.

How do we get attached to quick money?

It is very easy for anyone to get attached to the idea of making all their financial problems go away, it's very easy to get attached to the idea of scaling up in life and never having to worry about money again. It is very easy to get attached to the thought of buying that house quicker than you thought or getting that shiny German car even faster.

They sell you a dream that's so great you'd even think you're dumb for letting such an opportunity pass you by. And most of us who get sold these dreams, end up buying them because they're just that good.

It's like a high when you make your first quick money and you never want to get off that high no matter how many times you're warned about it. It comes across as if other people are jealous of you and your newly found wealth pool.

What drives us to quick money?

Being backed into a corner by debt collectors, not being able to meet your monthly financial commitments, the wish for a debt free life, the Instagram lifestyles that we desire and wish we lived.

The above mentioned is just a few of the many reasons that lead us to finding ourselves caught up in finding ways to make money 'easily' and faster.

What is the relationship between quick money and the internet?

The internet is the birth place of how we are able to make money easily online. Just like it is also the birth place of many other none finance related things.

Internet has become a platform wherein we can see if we're making money or not. The bond between the two is like the bond between mother and daughter. The daughter which is quick money wouldn’t exist if the mother which is the internet was never born.

Can you get rich from quick money?

Yes, you can get rich from the many ways of making money online. But the risk of losing money or being scammed is much higher than your chances of #gettingrich.

The financial markets industry is overpopulated by people wanting to make money but only a few people have actually capitalized and made money from these industries. There are many who pretend to have made money from these industries while that is not true. The very dark side of this, is that these are the people who lose money instead of making it. It can be due to many different reasons like losing money directly on the markets or losing money to scams.

Does quick money last?

It honestly all depends on the individual for some people who've had the luck of acquiring quick money through their financial investments it does last.

For most it doesn't last at all. They get caught up in the fancy lifestyles and in trying to impress everyone around them which eventually leads to their downfalls.

Is quick money really a lie?

It really depends on one's perspective.

If you make money in a few minutes while trading forex is quick money a lie? No.

If you get paid from the investment you made 3 months ago is quick money a lie? No.

If you give money to someone as an investment that promises high returns in a couple of days and you don't receive your return on investment is quick money a lie? Yes

If you pay a forex teacher or coach who promises you that you'll become rich soon after attending his or her classes and that doesn't happen is quick money a lie? Yes
